  • Our mortar blends are formulated for Georgia’s moisture levels. The breathable composition prevents water from being trapped beneath the surface of the brick.

  • We use UV-stable pigments and custom formulas to maintain color integrity even under intense summer sun. Unlike paint or other finishes such as limewash, German Smear does not peel or fade away.

  • Very little. once a year or every other year depending on conditions, a power washing with mildewcide chemicals to keep the surface clean is all that is needed.

  • German Smear is not able to be applied over paint, unfortunately. Paint must be stripped away by sandblasting or other means to ensure adhesion of our mortar to the brick surfaces.

  • Properly installed finishes endure 20–30 years or more with minimal upkeep. You can further protect your brick home by applying our brick protection package.

  • Because each project is custom-measured and weather-tuned, prices vary by square footage and style. Expect a cost higher than paint but far lower in lifetime maintenance — a long-term investment in structural and visual quality.
